WHAT MOST BUSINESS PHOTOS CAN'T SHOW.
Most small businesses have a few phone photos of the front door and nothing that shows the whole site. The yard, the size of the workshop, the access and the land around it are all out of sight from the street. A drone photo shows the lot in one frame, and gives your website, Google profile and quotes something that is yours instead of a stock image.

I am based in Rockhampton and work across Central Queensland. Rockhampton, Gracemere, Yeppoon and Emu Park are an easy drive, so there is no travel charge. Gladstone and other towns within a couple of hours are quoted when you send me the address.
Emerald, Moranbah, Mackay, Biloela and other towns more than two hours from Rockhampton work differently. I book trips when a few jobs are lined up in your area, and the travel cost is split across every job on that day. Tell me your town and what you need, and I will let you know when a trip is planned there.
The rules
WHAT THE DRONE CAN AND CAN'T DO.
I am a CASA accredited operator with a registered drone, and I fly under CASA's rules for small drones. In plain words, this is what that means for your job.
- It flies in daylight only, and I keep it in sight the whole time.
- It stays under 120 metres.
- It does not fly over houses, streets or crowds.
- It keeps 30 metres from anyone who is not part of the job, so staff and customers need to stand clear while it is in the air.
- Parts of Rockhampton and Gracemere are close to the airport. I check the airspace for every address before I quote it, and if the answer is no I tell you straight away.
- Wind and rain move the job to another day.
A site that backs onto homes or a busy road may only allow some of the angles you want. I tell you which ones before we book.

I fly the site, usually inside an hour. All you need to do is keep people clear of the area while the drone is up.
EDIT AND DELIVERY
I choose the best shots, edit and colour correct them, cut the video if you booked it, and send a download link.

How much does drone photography cost in Rockhampton?
A photo set is $199 for 10 to 15 edited aerial stills of your site. Photos and video is $399: the same stills plus an edited 30 to 60 second video and a vertical reel for Facebook and Instagram. There is no travel charge around Rockhampton, Gracemere, Yeppoon and Emu Park. Builders can book progress visits at $199 a visit, and real estate has its own listing prices.
Can you fly over my yard or building?
Yes, over your own site, as long as nobody who is not part of the job is underneath. I cannot fly over houses, streets or crowds, and I keep 30 metres from people who are not involved. On a busy street the shot may need to be taken from your side of the fence, early in the day, or not at all. I tell you before we book.
Do you fly at night?
No. I fly in daylight only, and I keep the drone in sight the whole time.
Can you fly near the Rockhampton airport?
Parts of Rockhampton and Gracemere sit close to the airport. I check the airspace for every address before I quote it. If an address is off limits, I tell you straight away.
Do you travel to Emerald, Moranbah, Mackay or Biloela?

Do I need to be on site?
Someone should be there to let me in and point out the angles you want, but you do not need to stand over me. Anyone on site needs to stay clear of the area where the drone is flying.
