CHARITIES & NOT-FOR-PROFITS
MARKETING FOR CHARITIES, PRICED FOR CHARITIES.
Google Ad Grants, websites and marketing for Queensland charities and not-for-profits. Registered charities pay what they can.
THE PROBLEM
MOST CHARITIES LEAVE FREE ADVERTISING ON THE TABLE.
Google gives eligible charities up to USD $10,000 a month in free Google Search ads through its Ad Grants program. Plenty of small charities either don't know it exists, or set it up once and watch it get paused because the account fell outside Google's rules.
The grant is real, but it isn't set and forget. Google expects a working website with real content about your mission, conversion tracking, and a click-through rate of at least 5%. Miss those and the free budget stops.
Most charities are run by volunteers who already have too much on. So I do the setup, keep the account inside Google's rules, and build the website the ads point to, for whatever your charity can afford.
Recent charity work includes Adopt-A-Beast, a Rockhampton charity that helps farmers restock after floods, fires and drought. I rebuilt their website at adoptabeast.org and set up their Google Ad Grants account.
Nathalie Grassi wrote in her Google review of the Adopt-A-Beast website, The new website for Adopt-A-Beast that Michael has built for the charity is absolutely fantastic

WHY ROCKHAMPTON BUSINESSES PICK US
FAIR. LOCAL. STRAIGHT-TALKING.
PUBLIC PRICING
Some agencies want you to book a call before they'll tell you the price. I publish mine. If it doesn't fit, no phone call required.
NO LOCK-IN
Month-to-month with 30 days' notice. We earn your business every month or you walk. No 12-month contracts, no exit fees.
ACTUALLY LOCAL
Based in Rockhampton. Not a Brisbane shopfront. I know Rocky's suburbs and what plays differently in Yeppoon and Gladstone.
ADS-FIRST FOCUS
I don't try to do everything. Meta and Google ads are my main focus, and the other services feed into them.
QUESTIONS
FAQs.
What is Google Ad Grants?
Google Ad Grants is a Google program that gives eligible charities up to USD $10,000 a month in free Google Search text ads. It pays for search ads on Google only, not display or video ads, with a daily cap of USD $329.
Is my charity eligible for Google Ad Grants in Australia?
An Australian organisation needs to meet one of these: registered with the ACNC, endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), or an income-tax-exempt not-for-profit. DGR status is not required. Government bodies, government hospitals and public schools are not eligible. Every applicant is also verified by Google's partner, Goodstack. I can check your eligibility for free.
How long does it take to get approved?
Google doesn't publish a fixed timeframe. Verification through Goodstack and the Ad Grants application each take time, so I can't promise a date. The sign-up steps on your end take about 15 minutes.
Does the grant run out?
There is no end date. The grant keeps going as long as the account meets Google's ongoing rules. Unspent budget does not roll over to the next month, so a well-built account matters.
Can the ads link to Humanitix, Supporter Hub or another ticketing site?
Not directly. Ad Grants ads must land on your charity's own website. The usual fix is a page on your site for the event or appeal that links or embeds your ticketing or donation page.
What does pay what you can mean?
Charity budgets vary a lot, so for registered charities and not-for-profits there is no set price. You tell me what you can afford, and we agree on it before any work starts. If something costs money out of pocket, like paid Meta ads or printing, I check with you first.
RUN A CHARITY IN QUEENSLAND?
Send me your charity's name and website and I'll check whether you're eligible for Google Ad Grants. It's free and there's nothing to sign. If you're eligible, I'll walk you through the sign-up and we'll work out a price that suits your budget.
